Question 1

Can a request send any text it likes?

Accepted Answer

No. A send names an approved template and gives variable values. Staff review every template before it can be used, so a key cannot send content nobody has seen.

Question 2

What happens when a provider is down?

Accepted Answer

The router tries the next usable provider by priority. If the connection dropped after the message body was sent, the result is UNKNOWN and it is not retried, so a recipient never gets two copies.

Question 3

Can I use my own SMTP account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when it is enabled for your account. Staff approve the account before it sends. If it fails, the message fails with a clear code instead of silently leaving through the platform account.

Question 4

Can outside customers use the send API today?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. It is off by default and limited to the platform owner's own products until e-mail pricing for other customers is in place.
