Question 1

Can a sandbox message ever reach a real phone or inbox?

Accepted Answer

No. Sandbox email, SMS and voice are captured inside SogdoVerify and labelled SIMULATED. Real sending is a separate route that needs REAL mode, an approved provider account and a destination you are allowed to use.

Question 2

Is a SIMULATED result proof that a user verified?

Accepted Answer

No. A simulated outcome never produces a proof token. Even in REAL mode, a verified phone proves control of a channel at that time, not legal identity.

Question 3

What do I need to switch from Trial to Real?

Accepted Answer

KYC approval, a billing method, an active production provider account, approved templates, a healthy number pool where needed, bounded policies, a spend cap and a second approver. The checklist is live in your console.

Question 4

Do I have to use SMS?

Accepted Answer

No. Email codes, voice calls, TOTP and backup codes run through the same challenge engine. Inbound SMS verification is available where a capable number exists.

Question 5

How are OTPs and secrets handled?

Accepted Answer

Codes are stored as hashes, API secrets are shown once, and payloads are redacted in logs and the event explorer.

Question 6

What does it cost to try?

Accepted Answer

The Seed plan is free with no card and includes every sandbox module with a small monthly pool of operations.
